About the Role
Who are we looking for?
We are searching for a motivated team player who is looking to gain experience in the civil engineering field. In this role, you will work alongside our professional engineering designing new roads, neighborhoods, municipal infrastructure, parks, trails, and other community projects. We are interested in all undergraduate civil engineering students who enjoy working on a variety of projects and thrive in team settings.
What are the responsibilities and roles of this position?
Assist in Project Design: Collaborate with our engineering team to assist in the design and planning of civil engineering projects. This includes drafting design drawings, conducting site visits, and contributing to project documentation.
Gain proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to create and modify project plans and drawings
Participate in on-site inspections to observe construction progress, adherence to project specifications, and quality control.
Assist in the preparation of technical reports and project documentation for clients.
Collaborate with our transportation and site design teams to ensure project goals are met and maintain effective communication within the team.
Where is this position located?
This internship will be located in Greencastle or Terre Haute, IN.
Requirements
What are the required qualifications for this role?
• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering
• Versatile analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong communication and dynamic teamwork skills
• Knowledge of construction processes and materials is beneficial
• Prior internship or relevant coursework is a plus but not required
• Positive attitude
